A 6-people chairlift at the Idalp

Sonnenbahn B5 in Ischgl

At the Idalp – and, hence, directly at the heart of the ski resort Ischgl: that’s where you’ll find the Sonnenbahn chairlift. Thanks to automatic safety bars, this chairlift is particularly popular with families and groups. Why? Because this technology makes it possible for one adult to take up to five children up the mountain with them – safely and without any problems. Once everyone’s seated, the bar closes automatically. And it only opens again when the mountain station is reached. Sounds comfortable for parents and caregivers? Well, it is!

This technology not only makes riding the chairlift at the Idalp easy for families and ski groups. For all others it means: less time on the lift, more time on the slopes! Because the Sonnenbahn transports up to 2,400 people per hour up to the summit.

Another plus:
The Sonnenbahn is located right between the two popular blue slopes 6 and 8 – perfect for beginners and families!
