A summer holiday in Ischgl makes this possible - as long as the backpack is with you and still has enough room for the goodies. After all, the Swiss town of Samnaun with its duty-free shopping is only about 10 km away from Ischgl as the crow flies. It was precisely this short distance that earlier smugglers took advantage of.
By the way: The ancestors of the inhabitants of Paznaun already reached Ischgl via the smugglers' paths.
Heute führen auf Ihren Spuren wunderbare Ein-Tages-Wanderwege über die Grenzen zu den Eidgenossen. Um ein wenig Zeit zu sparen, fährt man dafür mit der Silvretta- und Flimjochbahn von Ischgl aus direkt aufs Flimjoch. Von hier aus bietet sich ein wunderbarer Rundblick in die umliegende Berggruppe des Samnaun, Silvretta- und Verwallgebietes.

Way back: with the Samnaun Luftseilbahn - Alp Trida - Flimsattelbahn - Flimjochbahn - Idalp. Please note the operating times of the cable cars for the way back!
Samnaun is the only area in Switzerland which has a duty-free agreement, which means you can enjoy duty-free shopping: Among others, exclusive branded perfumes, luxury watches, fine jewellery, tobacco products, designer fashion and much more.
