For those who love to ski against the tide: slope 3 “Stöckabfahrt”
In the afternoon, when the majority of skiers and snowboarders swish down the mountains into the valley, the slopes can get a little crowded here and there. All those who would like to avoid this should take slope 3. You can access this descent via slope 2 from the Idalp. Via the Schwarzwasserlift (G2) you can continue down into the valley.
Lose your breath: slope 7 “Velilltal”
One thing’s for sure: You’ll have to take a break or two during this descent. But not because it’s so incredibly challenging, but because you’ll want to enjoy the breath-taking panoramic views. Amongst them the unobstructed view of the awe-inspiring Madlein mountain range. It’s not surprising that the Velilltal descent is amongst the most beautiful slopes in Tyrol. You can best access this lonesome valley via the Gratbahn (B8) lift or the Velillbahn (B1) lift.
And in case you get hungry: 15 mountain restaurants in the Silvretta Arena provide the perfect backdrop for a stop. Whether it’s traditional, regional dishes like the ‘Tiroler G’röstl’ or international classics: foodies and gourmets will be thrilled! And can fuel up for an eventful afternoon in the top-ski resort of the Tyrolean Alps!
