If you were around in the ‘90s, you’re guaranteed to know this band. If you weren’t, you will soon have the chance to get to know them. “If you don’t know me by now …” – do we need to say more? Of course, we’re talking about Simply Red, one of Britain’s most successful pop bands ever. The band and its vocalist Mick Hucknall will open the Spring Blanc on 2 April 2022 – at Ischgl’s first Top of the Mountain Spring Concert.
The setting for the start of “white spring” couldn’t be any more impressive: pleasant temperatures, lots of sunshine and an open-air stage at 2,300 metres above sea level, right in the heart of Silvretta Arena ski resort. Add to that the hits of Simply Red and a pinch of sweet spring feelings – and what you get is a concert you wouldn’t want to miss! But wait a minute …
While elsewhere the first colourful spring flowers are starting to bloom, the prevalent colour at Silvretta Arena is still white. And that’s great news for all ski enthusiasts because they can expect glistening snow and fresh powder throughout spring. Plus, there’s guaranteed to be plenty of warm spring sunshine and a buzzing atmosphere.
For many, April is the most beautiful time to go skiing in Ischgl – thanks to the ski resort’s favourable location at around 2,000 metres above sea level which makes for excellent snow conditions up until May. And that’s not all! The Spring Blanc event series makes spring skiing even more pleasurable with a selection of musical and culinary event highlights...
But let’s get back to Simply Red. What you can expect from this spring’s Top of the Mountain Concert in Ischgl is an intriguing mixture of soul and pop, elegant love songs and enchanting saxophone sounds.
