Attention mountain biking enthusiasts: From August 7 to August 8, 2026, the 31st Ischgl Ironbike will take place – an event for everyone who loves cycling and challenges! The Ischgl Ironbike is a cycling event in a class of its own that pushes even licensed riders to their limits. The longest and most demanding route, the extreme distance, is a real challenge even for experienced licensed riders. But the shorter routes also have their appeal – and not just in terms of sport: the paths were once used by smugglers to transport goods between Ischgl and Samnaun, and today they provide exciting trails steeped in history.
However, Ischgl Ironbike is not just for die-hard professionals – it also offers great options for aspiring cycling talents. For instance, young riders can show off their skills and compete against their peers at the Kids & Juniors Trophy presented by Volksbank Tirol. With different routes for every age group, there’s the perfect option for everyone.
A well-known classic is the Short Track: as the name suggests, the focus is not on distance. The Short Track Race is all about speed and technique, requiring contestants to navigate the winding trails between two opposing hills in Ischgl.
