The Friedrichshafener Hütte lodge in the Verwall mountains is an Alpenverein lodge on the Muttenalpe above Galtür and Ischgl, surrounded by beautiful flower meadows. It is easily accessible for families and offers an impressive view of the Verwall peaks and the Alpine panorama of the eastern 3,000 metre peaks of the Silvretta group. The route to the lodge is also popular with mountain bikers. The mountain lodge is open and staffed from mid/end June to the end of September. It offers 55 sleeping places and a winter room with 10 places. Outside opening hours, the DAV key is required for the winter room.

The Darmstädter Hütte lodge is situated at 2,384 metres in an imposing high mountain cirque to the north of Ischgl. Easily accessible from St. Anton am Arlberg, it is also a worthwhile destination for experienced hikers from Ischgl. The mountain lodge can be reached in four to five hours via the Madlein Valley and the Doppelseescharte. The tranquil Madlein Valley will delight you with its sheep and the clear Madleinsee lake. From the mountain lodge, there are magnificent views of peaks such as the Küchlspitze (3,147 m) and the Saumspitze (3,039 m). A nearby climbing garden attracts adventure-seekers.
