Riding the Medrig Carts, you speed downhill from the top station of the Zeinisbahn to the valley station of the Zeinisbahn along a 3.5-kilometre route surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery. This thrilling descent perfectly combines speed, fun and nature, making it an ideal activity for families, friends and holidaymakers looking for a unique outdoor experience.

Your adventure starts at the top station of the Zeinisbahn, where you receive one of the sturdy Medrig Carts, a safety helmet and a short introduction to handling the cart. Safety always comes first – then it’s time to ride! An exciting and extended downhill run with maximum fun awaits you. Even if you are hiking towards the Ascher Hut, mountain carting in See is the perfect spontaneous addition to your tour. After an action-packed ride, simply return the Medrig Cart at the valley station of the Zeinisbahn – and take home unforgettable memories.

Experience adventure!
  • Where: From the Zeinisbahn mountain station to the Zeinisbahn valley station
  • Route and speed: 3.5 km of forest track – always ride at a moderate speed!
  • Elevation gain: During the ride, there is an elevation gain of 424 Hm (from 2,224 to 1,800 Hm)
  • Total journey time: Depends on the speed of travel
  • Age restriction: See below for further details
  • Money-saving tip: With the Silvretta Card Premium, you can use the open cable cars in See for free, amongst other things! A discount on the Medrig Carts is also included in the Silvretta Card Premium!
  • Tickets: Online at the experience shop | Medrigjochbahn valley station | Ticket office at the Medrigjochbahn mountain station | Zeinisbahn mountain station ticket machine (please check the Zeinisbahn’s operating hours)
  1. Observe the helmet requirement!
  2. Only ride with a valid ticket!
  3. Carry out a brake test before setting off. Always brake with both brake levers at the same time! The left brake lever brakes the left rear wheel, the right brake lever brakes the right rear wheel.
  4. Place your feet on the footrests during the entire journey!
  5. Pay attention to the signs! Racing, riding in a group, reversing and tailgating are prohibited without exception!
  6. Only ride at a moderate speed! Reduce speed considerably before bends. Always lean your upper body towards the inside of the bend.
  7. Keep your distance! Adapt your riding style and speed to your own ability! Make yourself noticed by ringing the bell!
  8. Riding the mountain carts (Medrig Cart) is at your own risk! Do not leave the marked route!
  9. Expect oncoming traffic, pedestrians, cyclists or cattle on the entire route!
  10. Ride through pasture fences at walking pace.
  11. The mountain cart (medrig cart) can be pulled easily and comfortably by the footrests or the loops on the footrests.
  12. Always park the mountain cart (medrig cart) so that it cannot roll away.
  13. Return the mountain cart (medrig cart) to the designated garage and the helmets to the ticket office.
  14. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have!
  15. Driving the mountain cart (Medrig Cart) under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited without exception!
  16. Animals are NOT PERMITTED
  • Children under the age of 14 are only permitted to use the mountain carts (Medrig Cart) and the mountain cart track in the presence of an adult supervisor.
  • Children under the age of 12 and under 150 cm tall are not permitted to drive a mountain cart (Medrig Cart) on their own. They may only be used together with an adult supervisor on the mountain cart (medrig cart).
  • Children under the age of 4 are not permitted to use or share the use of the mountain carts (Medrig Cart) or the cart track!
  • Helmets are compulsory on the entire cart track and sturdy closed shoes must be worn. Clothing suitable for the outdoors must also be worn. Helmets are issued free of charge for the Medrig Cart ride directly at the issue point at the start (Zeinisbahn mountain station).
  • Goggles for the wind or dust are recommended.
  • Each user will receive instruction from the Medrig Cart staff directly at the issue point.
