Dismantling supports & foundations New

A lot has already happened in the first few weeks: The old supports were taken to the loading site by transport helicopter. At the same time, work on the foundations for the new supports and station buildings is in full swing. Whether precisely manufactured formwork, reinforcements weighing several tons or the first concrete components - the entire construction site is working at full speed. The cable cars from the old installation have also already been loaded and are being reused. The new valley and mountain station is increasingly taking shape, with impressive aerial photographs documenting the construction progress. One thing is clear: the new Dias cable car is growing - step by step, foundation by foundation.

Dismantling of supports

During the dismantling of one of the old lift towers of the Dias bahn, nearly all towers had to be removed by helicopter due to their hard-to-reach positions in the terrain. The image shows old tower no. 2, while a transport helicopter is carrying tower no. 5 down to the valley for further processing and transport.

Support foundations

The concrete foundations for towers no. 1 and no. 2 have already been completed. Although the concrete is now in its final shape, it will take several weeks to reach its full strength. Meanwhile, workers are preparing the reinforcement for the next foundation element – tower no. 3.

The heavy steel reinforcement ensures a structurally sound and future-proof building.

Top station

Construction progress at the new top station is going well. The repositioning of the building is already clearly visible, and the new location sits closer to the Sunny Mountain Restaurant.

Shaping the Future Together: Investing in Comfort and Quality

With the construction of the new Dias cable car in Kappl – a modern link to the high-altitude ski area – and the new Familienglück lift in See, the Bergbahnen Kappl and Bergbahnen See are jointly investing in future-proof infrastructure and enhanced comfort. A total investment of around 25 million euros is being made to modernize both facilities. This is a strong signal for the sustainable development of the Kappl-See ski network and a clear commitment to the region.
