Westlife are bringing 25 years of global hits to Ischgl – and will kick off the 2026/27 winter season

From the soundtrack of an entire generation to the grand stage in Ischgl: on 28 November 2026, Westlife will celebrate their 25th anniversary in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps – with global hits, high emotions and an opening weekend that combines the first runs down the slopes with an international pop spectacle.

On 28 November 2026, the world-famous pop group Westlife will bring their 25th-anniversary celebrations to Ischgl for the ‘Top of the Mountain’ opening concert. They will provide the emotional soundtrack to the start of the winter season and present an exhilarating set packed with hits, spanning their extraordinary 25-year career from timeless ballads to global chart-toppers.

Over the past 25 years, Westlife have become one of the most successful pop groups of all time. Their songs have become part of people’s personal memories across generations. Their music has been streamed over 3 billion times worldwide; they have achieved 36 number-one albums globally and 14 number-one singles in the UK (placing them behind only Elvis Presley and the Beatles), sold over 55 million records, racked up more than 1 billion views on YouTube, and sold more than 6 million concert tickets worldwide. Over 1.2 million tickets were sold for the “Wild Dreams Tour” alone. Since their reunion in 2019, the band have performed over 200 concerts in 30 countries. Westlife remain the best-selling album band of the 21st century in the UK and Ireland.

Season opener at the Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun on 26 November 2026

In Ischgl, this anniversary is now taking centre stage in a very special setting: mountains instead of an arena, winter air instead of an indoor roof, the first days of skiing instead of the daily concert routine. The ski season in the Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun begins as early as 26 November 2026. Two days later, the first turns on the slopes will be accompanied by Westlife’s greatest hits. With songs such as “You Raise Me Up”, “Uptown Girl” and “Flying Without Wings”, the band is bringing some of their best-known classics to Tyrol. At the same time, 2026 will be all about “25 – The Ultimate Collection”, which combines fan favourites with new material. The ticket price is 100 euros for adults and 62 euros for children. The ticket also serves as a day ski pass, meaning concert-goers can spend a whole day on the slopes of Ischgl before the show.

Westlife are coming to Ischgl as part of the European leg of their ‘Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour’, which also includes concerts in Paris, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Amsterdam, as well as in Cologne and Zurich on 26 November.

25 years of hits meet the first snow

At the ‘Top of the Mountain’ opening concert, a piece of pop history meets one of the most extraordinary concert venues in the Alps. Winter sports enthusiasts and music fans can look forward to fantastic songs, an emotional experience and plenty of sing-along moments.

Three new D-Line 8-seater chairlifts by winter 2026/2027

Silvrettaseilbahn AG is investing 50 million euros in three new D-Line 8-seater chairlifts: HÖLLBODEN C1 and SASSGALUN C3 were built in 2025, with HÖLLKAR C2 to follow in 2026. All lifts will be fitted with weather protection canopies, heated seats and – for the first time in the Silvretta Arena – Doppelmayr’s AURO boarding and alighting monitoring system.

Höllkar and Sassgalun will be built along the existing routes. The new Höllboden cable car will have its mountain station around 500 metres east of Idalp, between slopes 10 and 11, and is therefore set to significantly improve connections in the Höllboden/Idalp area. In addition, over 1,200 m² of photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 274.5 kWp will be installed on the roofs of the new cable cars.
