World-class Tyrolean talent meets an international winter sports destination: from the 2026/27 winter season, Ischgl will be the new title sponsor of World Ski Champion Raphael Haaser. The 29-year-old ÖSV athlete, who won gold in the giant slalom and silver in the super-G at the 2025 World Championships on home soil in Saalbach, will tackle his next challenges in the international Ski World Cup with Ischgl emblazoned on his helmet. The partnership combines sporting ambition, Tyrolean roots and a shared commitment to excellence.
New partnership at World Cup level
The Paznaun–Ischgl Tourist Board and Silvrettaseilbahn AG Ischgl are jointly making a strong statement in international alpine ski racing: from the 2026/27 winter season onwards, the two partners will be the new title sponsors of Raphael Haaser. The Tyrolean ski racer from Maurach am Achensee competes for SV Achensee in the Ski Austria national team and will represent Ischgl on his helmet during World Cup and international races. The partnership brings together two leading names in Tyrolean winter sport, both of which stand for passion, dedication and international prestige.
World champions with pace, technique and fighting spirit
Raphael Haaser has established himself amongst the world’s elite in alpine skiing thanks to a series of strong performances. He celebrated his greatest triumph to date at the 2025 World Championships on home soil in Saalbach: he was crowned world champion with gold in the giant slalom, whilst his silver in the super-G underlined his versatility and his feel for speed.
The Tyrolean once again demonstrated his class in the 2025/26 season. He secured a place on the podium once more with a third-place finish in the World Cup Super-G in Lillehammer. At the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, he also impressed with a fifth-place finish in the Super-G. Whether in giant slalom, Super-G or downhill, Haaser combines attacking spirit and speed with precision, racing intelligence and consistency.
Ischgl and Haaser: A partnership with sporting ambitions
In Raphael Haaser, Ischgl has gained an athlete who represents the destination’s values on the international stage. As one of the most renowned winter sports destinations in the Alps, Ischgl stands for top-class skiing, modern infrastructure and winter sports of the highest international standard. The partnership underlines the destination’s close ties to alpine skiing and strengthens its presence on the international racing circuit.
“Raphael Haaser embodies precision, endurance and sporting development. As a Tyrolean athlete with international appeal, he is a perfect fit for Ischgl. We are delighted to be supporting him as his main sponsor,” says Alexander von der Thannen, President of the Paznaun–Ischgl Tourism Association.
Markus Walser, CEO of Silvrettaseilbahn AG, adds: “Raphael Haaser embodies sporting excellence and Tyrolean down-to-earthness. His successes make him a strong ambassador for skiing. In Ischgl, he has a ski resort at his side that stands for the highest quality, first-class piste conditions and a genuine passion for winter sports. With Ischgl am Helm, he will pursue new sporting goals in future and bring our shared enthusiasm for skiing to the international stage.”
A new chapter begins for Raphael Haaser with the 2026/27 winter season. Following his World Championship medals, strong World Cup results and impressive Olympic performance, his focus is now on the next challenges on the international racing calendar. His aim: to build on his successes to date, continue to develop as an athlete and consistently compete for top placings.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining forces with Ischgl with immediate effect. For me, skiing is about so much more than just racing and battling for hundredths of a second. It’s my passion – a sense of freedom and a connection to the mountains that have been with me my whole life. Ischgl embodies exactly that: skiing at the very highest level, unique conditions and a special enthusiasm for winter sports. It makes it all the more wonderful for me to be part of it now.” – said top alpine skier Raphael Haaser.
For Haaser, this marks the start of a new phase in his partnership with Ischgl. In the 2026/27 season, the Tyrolean aims to continue his progress in the World Cup.
27-year-old para-alpine skier Jelena Jehle from Kappl has also been supported for some time now by the Paznaun–Ischgl Tourist Board as part of a title sponsorship deal. Through this partnership, the Tourist Board is sending a strong signal in support of local sport, particularly para-sport, and continues to support Jelena on her sporting journey.
