THE WEATHER TODAY
Over the next few days, the country will be on the edge of a high-pressure low over northern and north-eastern Europe. The upper-level current will slowly turn more to the west again. On Saturday, the sun will mostly shine for longer during the day and despite some spring clouds from the afternoon onwards, the risk of showers and thunderstorms should be low, even over the mountains. It will be somewhat more unstable again on Sunday. This means that the sun will be out for less time and, with more clouds or cumulus clouds, isolated rain showers or even thunderstorms may occur again, especially from the afternoon onwards. The weather won't change too much at the beginning of next week. The sun should be able to shine at times and temperatures will be pleasant and summery. However, the air stratification is still not stable for the time being and therefore isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will continue to be an issue, especially over the mountains.
