Located at the westernmost part of the Paznaun valley, at the foot of the 2,671-metre-high Ballunspitze and surrounded by breathtaking mountains, you can find the municipality of Galtür. The region is a secret tip for families and leisure skiers, with Silvapark ski resort offering slopes for every skill level. What’s more, numerous mountain lodges invite you to stop by for a delightful break. However, Galtür also has plenty to offer away from the slopes and during summer. A climbing and bouldering park, snowcat safaris, cultural highlights at the Alpinarium – in Galtür, you’re spoilt for choice. A highlight for food lovers: Paznaun Alpine cheese, the culinary star of many traditional events.

Galtür is the epitome of purity and quality. Because of its high-alpine location and clean mountain air, it was named Tyrol’s first-ever climatic spa. As natural mountain spring water, it carries the label “Gütesiegel Trinkwasser” (“drinking water quality seal”) and has an ideal water hardness of only 1.7.

Kappl is also known for its many traditional hamlets. The 90 small settlements turn Kappl into a picture-perfect Alpine holiday dream.

Located at 1,056 metres above sea level, the village was named after a mountain lake (in German, “See”) that was buried a long time ago by a landslide. A water park built at the original site of the lake is a tribute to the village’s heritage – and the perfect place for families to have fun and splash about.
