Numerous international music stars in one go? If you think that doesn't exist, you should keep your eyes peeled on the edge of the piste in the Silvretta Arena. From 13 to 17 January 2020, ten pairs of artists from four countries transformed the Ischgl ski area into an impressive open-air gallery of snow and ice for the 27th "Shapes in White" snow sculpture competition. True to the motto "25 Years - Top of the Mountain Concerts", eleven snow sculptures up to ten metres high commemorate the most legendary Ischgl concerts of the past 25 years.
Music wins
Helene Fischer, Bon Jovi, Pink and Elton John are among the artists on show. The sculpture "Guitar + Saxophone", which was created by the sculptors Ivan Holzknecht and Armin Rifesser from Italy, was in first place. This sculpture impressed the jury the most and took first place. Second place went to the team of Ivo Piazza and Reiner Kasslatter from Italy with superstar "Tina Turner". Third place went to Ralf Rosa and Peter Fechtig from Germany with "Deep Purple". "As every year, we are deeply impressed by the creative performance of the participants and the masterful realisation," said a delighted Andreas Steibl from the Ischgl jury. "The artists have once again gone the extra mile this year and made our choice very difficult."
