Lenny Kravitz ended a snowy ski season with the Top of the Mountain Closing Concert in Ischgl on 30 April 2019 at 2,320 metres above sea level. 18,000 winter sports fans experienced the superstar with his band in front of a spectacular mountain backdrop in the ski resort and an unforgettable air show.
Perfect piste conditions, a top-class flying stunt show and a cheerful Lenny Kravitz, who was performing in the mountains for the first time. At the Ischgl season finale on 30 April, 18,000 fans and winter sports enthusiasts left nothing to be desired. At 1 p.m., Lenny Kravitz took to the stage at 2,320 metres above sea level, thrilled by the backdrop, and set the mood at the "Top of the Mountain Closing Concert" on the legendary Idalp stage with his powerful voice and a sensational two-hour open-air performance. Lenny Kravitz and his seven-piece band performed his classics such as "Are You Gonna Go My Way", "It Ain't Over Til It's Over" and "Fly Away". The superstar also performed tracks from his new and eleventh album "Raise Vibration", such as "Low". Lenny Kravitz got up close and personal with his audience as he walked through the crowd during the concert and said goodbye at the end with "Peace and good skiing!".
After the concert, the Red Bull Skydive Team amazed the winter sports fans in attendance with a helicopter jump and a stunt show featuring wingsuit formations, while two Eurofighters from the Austrian Armed Forces flew overhead to bring the season to a sonorous close. "With this spectacular finale, we can look back on a successful and exceptionally snowy winter season with over 2 million first-time visitors. We are proud that we were able to inspire our guests with the best skiing conditions from the first to the last day and are already looking forward to next winter," says Andreas Steibl, Managing Director of the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourist Board. The ski season in Ischgl ends on 1 May 2019.
