Snowy start to the season with Andrea Berg

The 2017/18 ski season in Ischgl is open and so is winter in the Alps. On 25 November, excellent piste conditions and the open-air concert with superstar Andrea Berg with an unprecedented stage show including fireworks ensured a season opening of superlatives with a total of 20,000 opening visitors.

Snow and beaming faces. On 25 November, Ischgl celebrated a snowy start to the winter season at the Top of the Mountain Opening Concert to the legendary hits of the most successful singer in German chart history. Against the dreamlike backdrop of the Alpine lifestyle metropolis of Ischgl, it wasn't just classics such as "Du hast mich tausendmal belogen" and "Die Gefühle haben Schweigepflicht" that got the audience in the mood. With her eight-piece band, Andrea Berg provided unforgettable moments with a show never before seen in Ischgl, featuring an elaborate stage set-up, staged video clips and pyrotechnics. For the first time in the history of the Top of the Mountain Opening Concerts, the event area even had to be extended. The organisers in Ischgl were not only delighted with the 20,000 winter sports enthusiasts at the start of the season, but also with the best conditions in the ski area thanks to the early onset of winter.

From now until 1 May 2018, the Silvretta Arena offers cross-border skiing on 238 kilometres of pistes - from Austria to Switzerland. New from this winter: The 6-seater Palinkopf D1 chairlift with portraits of the stars from past Top of the Mountain concerts on the seats.

Ischgl concerts in April

On Easter Sunday, 1 April 2018, Max Giesinger will make his Ischgl debut at the "Top of the Mountain Easter Concert" in the middle of the ski resort. Winter sports fans can experience the German chart-topper with hits such as "80 Millionen", "Wenn sie tanzt" and "Roulette" from 1 pm on the world-famous Idalp stage at 2,320 metres above sea level. Admission to the concert is free with a valid ski pass. Germany's most successful entertainer Helene Fischer will ensure a "breathless" season finale with "Herzbeben" at the "Top of the Mountain Closing Concert" on 30 April 2018. Thanks to Ischgl's high altitude, winter sports enthusiasts will find perfect piste conditions on the 238 kilometres of pistes in the Silvretta Arena even in spring-like temperatures until 1 May 2018.
