The trail starts at the Salaaser Kopf and initially follows
the Kammtrail before branching off towards Samnaun and crossing a sunny high
plateau. After passing a lift station and a traditional alpine hut, the route
winds down through green meadows in several bends into an impressive gorge. Here,
the path becomes narrower and the gorge tighter. An exposed section follows,
where the bike has to be pushed. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are
essential. The trail then continues via tight switchbacks and steep downhill
sections to Ché d’Mot. At this viewpoint, marked by cable-car pylons,
impressive views open up across the Samnauntal valley. From here, a flowing,
wider trail section begins and leads almost all the way to the gondola station,
making for a fast-paced finish. This trail is suitable only for very
experienced bikers.
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Ischgl Silvrettabahn
