18,200 fans celebrate the season finale with Zucchero in Ischgl

On 30 April 2017, rock met dolce vita in Ischgl with exceptional musician Zucchero. 18,200 winter sports fans celebrated the sunny finale of a successful and snowy winter season in the Silvretta Arena at 2,320 metres.

Glorious sunshine and Italo rock at the season finale in Ischgl: superstar Zucchero took 18,200 winter sports fans back to his Italian homeland on 30 April 2017 at the legendary "Top of the Mountain Closing Concert" and thrilled them with his vocal power. The "father of Italian blues" and his 13-piece band, including star musicians such as Hammond virtuoso Brian Auger, guitarist Kat Dyson, drummer Queen Cora Dunham and bassist and musical director Polo Jones, rocked out in a great atmosphere.

Inspired by the ambience, Zucchero performed on the Idalp stage at an altitude of 2,320 metres for more than two hours. In his repertoire: expressive songs from Zucchero's current album "Black Cat" and his worldwide hits such as "Baila Morena", "Senza una Donna" and "Miserere". The concert in Ischgl was the starting signal for Zucchero's new "Black Cat" world tour 2017. "With the Top of the Mountain Closing Concert, we can look back on a successful winter season, which was also snowy for us thanks to the high altitude of the Silvretta Arena. We are proud to have delighted our guests again this year from the first to the last day of the season," says a delighted Andreas Steibl, Managing Director of the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourist Board. The ski season ends in Ischgl on 1 May 2017.
