With plenty of soul for the heart and an extra portion of rap for the mood, the bizarre combination of the two top musicians, which skilfully merged two different music genres, was a winner. Soul singer Xavier Naidoo and rapper Kool Savas were just as cheerful on the fantastic pistes in the Alpine lifestyle metropolis as the thousands of winter sports fans who inhaled the unmistakable Ischgl feeling
The two luminaries from Germany have been good friends for years and worked on a song together back in 2005. In 2011, they launched the concert series "Wir beaten mehr" and brought artists from R&B, pop and soul onto the stage. The unusual mix of soul and rap resulted in a surprisingly successful mixture and XAVAS was launched in 2012. Even before the joint tour kicks off in summer, the two exceptional artists performed together on Easter Monday on the legendary Idalp stage, where superstars such as Elton John and Tina Turner have already performed.
Perfect Winter Day with goosebumps guaranteed
Within a very short space of time, Naidoo and Savas got the atmosphere boiling at the legendary Top of the Mountain Easter Concert at an altitude of 2,300 metres with snappy rhymes, rhythmic beats and catchy melodies. The weather gods also showed themselves from their best side. The fusion of the two exceptional musicians under the name XAVAS caused a furore right from the start. Gold for the first single release "Schau nicht mehr zurück", platinum for the album "Gespaltene Persönlichkeit". In contrast, the fan community in the Alpine lifestyle metropolis was in absolute harmony on Easter Monday and unanimous in its judgement: cool sound, the best atmosphere, perfectly groomed slopes made the Perfect Winter Day a reality with goosebumps guaranteed. Kool Savas will now spend a few more days skiing in the beautiful neighbouring town of Galtür in the Galtürer Silvapark, so that he can take in the effects of the successful Top of the Mountain Easter Concert against a unique backdrop.
Unique entertainment - also for the winter finale
Winter in Ischgl was still in top form around Easter. All lifts are still in operation in April up to and including 1 May. In perfect snow conditions, skiers and snowboarders were able to discover the freshly groomed slopes of the Silvretta Arena and 238 kilometres of pistes in the morning - from midday, Xavas heated things up and provided musical highlights against an impressive mountain backdrop. Ischgl is now heading towards the season finale in the same rhythm. The Top of the Mountain Closing Concert will once again conjure up a legendary piece of rock history in the snow. When Deep Purple rock out with hard rock anthems such as "Smoke on the Water" on the Idalpe on 30 April, there will be an air guitar alarm over Ischgl. The most famous rock song in the world is the unforgettable soundtrack to the season finale of the Alpine lifestyle metropolis. All winter sports fans can already look forward to the legendary winter finale, as admission to the open-air concert is free with a valid ski pass.
