Almmuseum Alpe Dias

From summer 2013, the Alpe Dias will be hosting an exhibition on the topic of Alpine life in Paznaun. Original settings will be used to show how Alpine life has changed over the last few decades and centuries. Detailed information will be provided about agricultural life in Paznaun, recalling the region’s history of farming.

As part of the project, the Alpine building has been returned to its original condition. The exhibition offers a chance to listen to testimonies from people who lived and worked in the mountain meadows. This offers exciting insight into the human aspect of Alpine life.

Inside the building, the focus is on the processing and refinement of milk to produce butter and cheese. Visitors are offered a glimpse behind the scenes of milk and cheese production here in the meadows. Interesting explanations, short films and home-made cheese round off the visit.
