ISCHGL: ROCK LEGENDS DEEP PURPLE CLOSE WINTER SEASON
Legendary season ending in Ischgl: For the winter finale, the British rockband "Deep Purple" charged the famous show-stage on the Idalp at over 2,300 meters altitude on 30 April 2013. Before an audience of around 10.000 enthusiastic winter sports fans, the band fronted by Ian Gillan played in front of an impressive alpine backdrop, providing an unforgettable open-air experience with their well-known hits right in the heart of the skiing region

A concert of superlatives closed a successful skiing season in Ischgl: On 30 April 2013, the British rock band "Deep Purple" provided the live heavy rock sound for the season finale at the legendary Top of the Mountain Concert on the Idalp. On the giant open-air stage right in the heart of the skiing area, the five exceptional musicians rocked an audience of 10.000 fans for one and a half hours. With songs from their brandnew album "Now what?" and the rock anthems "Smoke on the Water", "Fireball" and "Strange Kind of Woman" they thrilled the audience before an impressive alpine backdrop. In spring-like temperatures, "Deep Purple" as well as winter sports fans enjoyed a perfect day in the snow: Skiers and snowboarders made use of the great slope conditions in the morning, to then let their hair down from 1 p.m. at the open-air concert.
The list of musicians who have performed in Ischgl in recent years reads like a who is who of the international music industry. With their Ischgl-debut, the Brits thus followed in the footsteps of stars such as Elton John, Sting, Tina Turner, Pink, Kylie Minogue or Alicia Keys.
