Cable car company

‘Since our beginnings in 1963 we keep reinventing ourselves!’ (Hannes Parth, Chairman Silvrettaseilbahn AG.)

Silvrettseilbahn Ischgl – quick, contemporary and super safe

Silvretta Arena has 238 kilometres of pistes– the biggest interconnected ski area in the whole of Tyrol. A full 45 cable cars and lifts are here. This means that any athlete can investigate the whole area and almost never has to stand in long queues.

Many of the best cable cars in Tyrol are in use around Ischgl

That everything runs so smoothly is thanks to Silvrettaseilbahn AG in Ischgl. In 1963 the first cable car was brought into service. Since that time it has been continually upgraded and modernised because in addition to speed, safety is what counts above all else. This is checked regularly – by the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology, and also by a variety of international cable car committees.

The outcome – cable cars in Tyrol are among the safest mass transport media.

Yet Silvrettaseilbahn don’t just operate many of the most state-of-the-art cable cars in Tyrol.

They have also received multiple awards for piste maintenance, offers for children and leisure athletes as well as their friendly cash-desk staff. The next innovations are already in the offing.
