Cross-country skiing premiere in Galtür

Galtür introduces a new event series for cross-country skiers in 2022: At the 1st Galtür Nordic Volumes, cross-country skiers can take part in several competitions and test the latest equipment for the first time from March 24 to 27, 2022 in Galtür. On the program: the well-known Galtür Nordic Night Race, the new free cross-country camp with workshops, training sessions and test equipment, the new Cross-Country Climb from Galtür to Bielerhöhe and back, as well as a schoolchil-dren's race and the three-person relay race Galtür XC Team Relay. Total prize money: 10,000 Euro. Registrations are now open.

The motto for August 6th, 2022 is hard, harder, Ischgl Ironbike. The legendary cult race is one of the toughest and most demanding mountain bike races in Europe and a must for any mountain bike enthusiast. New in 2022: Four distances with specially designated UCI courses for men and women. Registration is possible as of now.

Silvrettarun 3000 celebrates 10 years

On July 16th, 2022, the Silvrettarun 3000 in Galtür will celebrate its tenth anniversary. In the anniversary year, hobby runners and marathon professionals will compete once again on a mountain marathon going from Ischgl to Galtür or alternatively on three shorter trail running distances. Total prize money: 14,000 euros. Registration is now open.

Visions of winter sport from the snows of Ischgl

What are oversized snowshoes, a ferocious ice hockey player, speedy bob-sleigh riders and a cold mini skier looking for the pistes of Ischgl? From January 10th to January 14th, 2022, five artists from different nations will be transforming the Silvretta Arena into an impressive open-air gallery to mark the 28th ‘Shapes in White’ snow sculpture competition. The motto for 2022 is ‘winter sport’.

The E-Bike World Championship Returns to Ischgl September 2022

The E-Bike World Championship Returns to Ischgl September 2022 The E-Bike World Championship winners will once again be crowned in Ischgl next September. This is the largest e-bike race in the world, featuring two different track classifications - "Everyone" and "Elite" classes. Registration is now open

Ischgl focuses on winter sports and cancels opening concert

Even before the Austria-wide 2G regulation, strict safety precautions were announced for the winter start in Ischgl from November 25th. However, in view of the current developments, to avoid any risk, the decision was unanimously made to cancel the traditional Top of the Mountain Opening Concert. The focus around the start of winter will now entirely on skiing.

Ischgl surprises with new sounds at the start of this year's winter season

Ischgl opens the ski season on November 25th, 2021. The highlight of the winter season kick-off are, with Il Volo and Alice, two powerful-voiced acts at the legendary "Top of the Mountain Opening Concert" on November 27th. 2-G (vaccinated or recovered) applies all concert attendees. Comprehensive protection concepts ensure the greatest possible safety for guests, employees and locals, even beyond the opening.

634 competitors at the E-Bike World Championships in Ischgl

A flood of medals in Ischgl: On 14 August 2021 at the third edition of the E-Bike World Championships for Everyone, an incredible 104 World Championship titles were awarded in the categories “Everyone” and “Elite”. Fastest among the men was Daniel Klemme from Germany, and the fastest finisher in the women’s was Jaqueline Mariacher from Austria.

Double win for Switzerland: Urs Huber and Ariane Lüthi win the 26th Ischgl Ironbike Marathon

We now know the winners of the 26th Ischgl Ironbike Marathon: After 76.8 kilometres and 3,700 m elevation gain in one of Europe’s toughest mountain bike marathon races, Urs Huber in the men’s race and Ariane Lüthi in the ladies’ race claimed a place on the podium. Save the Date: The 27th Ischgl Ironbike will be held from August 5th to 6th, 2022.

New course at the 9th Silvrettarun 3000 delights participants

Challenging weather conditions, but happy runners: at the 9th Silvrettarun 3000 from 16 to 17 July 2021, 600 amateur runners and marathon pros went along a marathon route and the three trail running distances from Ischgl to Galtür, each ten kilometres shorter.
