In summer, endless opportunities open up for you to spend your leisure time out in the open in the super Alpine air; and you can even take part in sports events.

An extensive network of mountain bike and hiking trails and a diverse holiday programme for children are waiting for you during your summer holiday in Ischgl in Tyrol.

It’s not for nothing that the village of Ischgl, which has 1500 inhabitants, with its special holiday style, is regarded as perfect, and many times over has been distinguished as a winter sports paradise by national and international media, since it provides entertainment round the clock. Every year the service in the Silvretta Arena is improved so, on the one hand winter sport, and also the range on offer in summer, makes it a fabulous experience.

As well as top shopping and culinary services, at the very highest level, big events in particular– in winter and summer alike – ensure Ischgl’s huge reputation. In winter for instance the Top of the Mountain concerts with global stars, in the middle of the ski pistes provide unique entertainment. Gourmet Alpine inns provide avant-garde architecture and exclusive ski gastronomy, while in the PlayStation® Vita Ischgl Snowpark the young wild things get to demonstrate their skills.

Ischgl is also one of the biggest interconnected ski area in Tyrol – with the most state-of-the-art facilities, and it is snow-assured until the start of May.

Over 238 kilometres of pistes and 45 lift facilities in the Silvretta Arena take you up to around 3000 metres altitude and down into the Swiss duty-free paradise of Samnaun. Ischgl is unique as a ski town in that it provides great entertainment. Après-ski atmosphere in the inns along Ischgl’s promenade, shopping boutiques and restaurants which are on par with those found in the big cities, a cigar lounge and a metropolitan disco area also provide plenty of opportunities for all tastes after a day’s skiing.

Ischgl in summer, with its fresh air, is far removed from the heat of the big city. The lovely inns and wonderful Alpine pastures which enjoy a wonderful view to the summits can be reached on foot and via the many cable cars and lifts, which also operate in the summer. There is more than 1200km of mountain bike tours in the region to try in the summer; the cable cars can transport bikes up to 2800 metres altitude.

Ischgl ensures that there are numerous activities on offer for a perfect holiday, together with all-round relaxation – which means that tranquillity and replenishing your energy aren’t in short supply.

Starting with families and children, the activity programme is wide and varied – in the Action Kids Club and in Youth Club Paznaun variety-filled programmes entertain children afresh daily.

Fantastic offers are geared towards motorbike fans, right the way through to horse fans, water babies, those who enjoy fishing, mini-golfers, right the way through to tennis players. As for sports events, bike racers are challenged as are mountain and marathon runners. In July, the ‘Silvrettarun 3000’ invites running enthusiasts to perform at their best. Every August the mountain bike marathon race which has the highest prize money in Europe is organised – Ischgl’s ‘Ironbike’.

Even adrenaline junkies get the kicks they yearn for in Tyrol’s sports Mecca – climbing on the via ferrata in Alpine terrain, in the high ropes garden, rafting in the mountain water or paragliding in the up-currents high above Ischgl.
