Where is Samnaun?

Did you know that you can ski cross-border at the Silvretta Arena – from Austria all the way over to Switzerland? And once you arrive in the Swiss town of Samnaun, you get to expect pure shopping fun – duty-free, of course – alongside the typical Swiss charm.

By car, it takes you about 80 minutes to get to the Swiss town of Samnaun. It’s way better to ski there, though. Because along with duty-free shopping fun, you’ll also be able to have plenty of fun on the perfectly groomed slopes of the Silvretta Arena.

Good to know: Samnaun is in the Eastern part of the Swiss Canton of Grisons and is divided into five fractions. The Swiss municipality with about 760 inhabitants is also a Swiss duty-free zone. But that’s only part of the reason why the picturesque little village at 1,846 metres above sea level is so incredibly popular with holiday guests from all over the world.
