Starting on Sunday, 7th July 2019 in all participating alpine inns: Jamtalhütte (Galtür), Friedrichshafener Hütte and Heidelberger Hütte (Ischgl), Almstüberl (Kappl) as well as Ascherhütte (See). Each chef hikes with a hiking guide and brings guests to ‘their’ inn where they prepare their meal.
The meals will continue to be served in the inns throughout the summer and on 18th August 2019 there will be yet another culinary highlight with the ‘Hüttenfest’ for the Culinary Jakobsweg trail. On this occasion there will be celebrations in the Jamtalhütte lodge, where all five dishes from these international award-winning chefs will be served. Hike with local matador Martin Sieberer.

On 31st August 2019 the 11th market day of the Paznaun Alpine cheese ‘Genussregion’ will be held. At the Florianparkplatz in Ischgl along with platters of cheeses, exhibition cooking and cheese-making demonstrations, various produce from Tyrol’s ‘Genussregions’ will be presented and sold. As well as delicious foods, there will be musical delights too, along with a pageant and traditional dances, providing an attractive and variety-packed programme of entertainment.

Enjoy a whole gamut of cheese at the International Alpine Cheese Olympiad. For the 24th time Landjugend Galtür are organising the International Alpine Cheese Olympiad on 29th September 2018. Over 100 alpine dairies from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Italy will present their speciality cheeses.
A panel of specialist judges will award the "Galtürer Sennerharfe" in gold, silver and bronze. Of course, tasting is compulsory!
