Lookout Points in the Alps

Experience some of the most breathtaking lookout points in the Tyrolean mountains at the Silvretta mountain range. Enjoy the tranquillity of the high Alpine mountain environment and views of neighbouring Switzerland on clear days. Take a look at the following recommendations:

Viderjoch mountain – 2,757 metres above sea level

Excursions to Viderjoch mountain are especially suitable for children, as the mountain is conveniently accessible by the Sivrettabahn and Flimjochbahn cable cars. Here you'll find the border between Austria and Switzerland.

Culinary recommendation: Alpenhaus restaurant at the Idalp Alpine pasture

Greitspitze mountain – 2,872 metres above sea level

One of the highest lookout points of the Silvretta Arena accessible by the Sivrettabahn and Flimjochbahn cable cars. A 45 minute hike will take you to the summit of Greitspitze mountain if you choose to take the Flimjochbahn cable car up the lower levels of the mountain. Do not forget to leave your name in the little book at the summit cross.

Culinary recommendation: Alpenhaus restaurant at the Idalp Alpine pasture

Flimspitze mountain – 2,928 metres above sea level

At almost 3,000 metres above sea level, Flimspitze mountain is one of the highest summits of the Silvretta Arena. The panoramic view from the craggy summit is breathtaking! This intermediate tour takes you to Flimspitze mountain in approximately 2.5 hours.

Culinary recommendation: Idalp and Alp Trida

Head towards Nederli at the pedestrian underpass under the federal road at Gasthof Glöckner near Mathon - continue your trip to Rauher Kopf mountain via Inneres Bergli and Äußeres Bergli.
