35 kms of slopes, 1,000 metres difference in altitude overall – the 'Smuggler Tour' is a guarantee for unlimited fun on the slopes in Ischgl, the popular ski resort in Tyrol, Austria.

Skiing in Tyrol can be so exciting. You shouldn't miss the Smuggler Tour when you spend your holiday in Ischgl. The Smuggler Tour starts at the Idalp, the center of culinary delights and an ideal starting point. The Idalp is located 2,320 metres above sea level and is easily accessible by the Silvretta chair lift A1 and the Fima chair lift A3.

Take a rest at the Alpenhaus or the Idalp Panorma and enjoy Tyrolean culinary delicacies before you start the 35km tour. After passing the Idalp, the tour continues through the Paznauner Thaya and the Höllspitz to the Gampenalp and finally to the Palinkopf at 2,864 metres above sea level. From the Palinkopf your are 1,000 metres altitude difference and more than 8 kilometres fun on the slopes away from the Swiss village Samnaun.

The 'Smuggler Tour' - an 'all-rounder' for skiers

Another spectacular destination en route is the Greitspitz that offers an admirable view of Ischgl ski resort and the Tyrolean Alps. The tour continues on the red skiing piste 15 and the blue skiing pistes 22 and 23 and leads you to the Höllboden. The Höllboden chair lift C1 takes you back to the Idalp. From there, the single cable Gratbahn takes you to the Pardatschgrat with the Pardorama - a fascinating mountain restaurant made out of steel and glass. The red pistes 5 and 1 take you back to the valley. Now you have left the 35 kms behind and deserve a break. Enjoy the après-ski life in Ischgl or go back to the Idalp and relax in the mountain restaurant's sunloungers.
