High Speed Skiing

Skiing in the Tyrolean Alps: strap on your skis and off you go!

Lusty curves, high speed – athletic skiers will find space for their skiing dreams in the Silvretta Arena. One of the longest pistes in Austria, provides you with a pure racing feeling! Piste Eleven starts from the Greitspitze 2,872 metres above sea level. The name is the game: Eleven stands for eleven kilometres of skiing pleasure. This descent will make you feel like a top athlete! Piste eleven can be accessed by the Greitspitzlift or the Greitspitzbahn.

The steepest slope in the Silvretta Arena

Aside from the eleven kilometre long piste Eleven the ski area sets its mark with black piste No. 14a With an inclination of up to 70%, it is the steepest piste in the Silvretta Arena. A separate piste grooming machine with a cable winch is required to actually groom this piste. Excessive skiing at high speed requires peak physical condition. The high edge pressure and centrifugal forces demand strength and endurance. So, if you want to train some more, after a full day’s skiing, to improve your physical fitness,  you should swim a few laps in the indoor pool at the Silvretta Center.
