NEW IN ISCHGL: CHILD-FRIENDLY CABLE CAR FOR BEGINNERS AND FAMILIES
Ischgl’s pistes offer easy access to children too this season: beginners and children are transported safely and comfortably to their destination using the new ‘Sonnenbahn Bahn B5’, a child-friendly detachable 6-seater chair lift, and a new ski conveyor. The iSki Ischgl APP and new GPS tracking function enable visitors to record their day’s skiing directly on their mobile phones.
Ischgl’s pistes are offering something new this season: Beginners and children alike will welcome the new attractions in the Silvretta Arena and can now enjoy a safer and more comfortable journey to their destination. The new Sonnenbahn Bahn B5 for families is a detachable 6-seater chair lift in a modern Ischgl look and replaces the old Sonnenlift. It comes with a child-safe automatic restraining bar locking system. There is therefore no chance of slipping beneath the bar thanks to the inclu-sion of foot supports on the locking bar. Practical for beginners and children: when the bar is closed, the connecting bar provides foot supports which sit between the thighs and ensures that guests are securely seated. Thanks to this construction, 5 children can be easily and comfortably transported up the mountain with just 1 adult because the bar closes and opens automatically. Heated seats offer additional comfort.
The Idalp training area for beginners has also been upgraded: the new 82 m long Viderböden B10 conveyor transports budding new skiers safely and easily up alongside the Viderböden B7 tow lift. Ischgl offers a total of 44 lift facilities and provides guaranteed snow from the start of the season to the beginning of May thanks to the elevated location of between 1,377 and 2,872 m and the expansion of the snow-making facilities to cover 238 km of pistes right across to the Swiss Samnaun region. The new insider meeting place, the ‘Panorama Salettl Idalp’, is a glass pavilion with moving roof and wall constructions on the sun terrace of the Restaurant Panorama and represents another pleasure station in the ski resort for tired and hungry skiers.
And as if that weren’t enough: if you want to trace your day of skiing in the Ischgl ski resort that same evening, you can record your day directly on your smartphone using the GPS tracking function on the iSki Ischgl APP (via iPhone and Android) so that you can later analyse details such as your top speed, kilometres completed, route and duration in Google Earth or on the Ischgl 3D map.
