FORMULA 1 FEVER AND MONTE CARLO FLAIR IN ISCHGL
Ischgl is heading towards the start of Summer at breath-taking speed: the 5th Ischgl Cart Trophy will transform this lifestyle metropolis into a Monaco of the Alps on 1 and 2 July 2011. Best of all: whether you are a company or individual – everyone can take part and form a team to test their skills against the professionals along the race track through Ischgl town centre – register now!
With roaring engines, breath-taking speed, spectacular overtaking manoeuvres and dazzling personalities from the worlds of finance, society and sport: spectators and participants alike can sample the atmosphere of the 5th Ischgl Cart Trophy Grand-Prix with its fascinating mix of sporting action and social event, all surrounded by the 3,000 m peaks of Paznaun. The spectacular showdown of the racing cars takes place on 1 and 2 July 2011: 40 teams of six to eight drives (all wearing professional racing outfits) battle it out in racing cars for each position, reaching speeds of up to 90 km/h. As in Monaco, the miniature racing cars tear along the 600 m long circular track through the town centre – complete with exciting overtaking manoeuvres and head-to-head duels. Companies and individuals can take on the challenge, form a racing team and battle it out against the international professional teams. Includes pit crew, racing outfit (suit, helmet, shoes and gloves), a branded racing car, mechanics, catering and numerous other services. A hot weekend of racing in Ischgl
Celebrities, pit lanes, a warm-up and qualifying races guarantee an authentic Grand-Prix atmosphere in this Alpine lifestyle metropolis in Tyrol. Following the training and qualifying races on Friday, the fastest teams battle it out for victory on Saturday evening in a spectacular floodlit race and transform the centre of Ischgl around the valley station of the Silvretta-Bahn railway into a miniature race track including a pit lane and spectator area. At the team dinner on Friday, the last strategy details will be discussed before hitting the dance floor on Saturday following the victory ceremony at the big Driver’s Night After-Race Party.
