Weather forecast

The Alpine region will remain under the influence of low pressure beyond the weekend far into the next week. While a moist-cold northerly flow will dominate the weather over the weekend, a low-pressure system approaching from Northern Italy will move closer to us at the beginning of the week. Not all details are decided yet, but it seems certain that the cold and frost-prone air will not leave us quickly. Significant precipitation, with a snow line around 700 meters above sea level, will mainly occur on Sunday in the form of showers. During the first half of the new week, heavy cloud cover will continue to prevail, but significant precipitation is not expected. The snow line will hardly rise above 1000 meters above sea level. A significant and sustained improvement in weather is indicated for the second half of the week. However, with the clear nights expected now, the risk of severe nighttime frosts will increase significantly.
