Welcome to the Ischgl Ironrun - the mountain road and Nordic walking run at the beautiful mountain environment of the Silvretta mountain range in Austria. The Ischgl Ironrun offers a suitable challenge for beginners and mountain running experts alike.

SERVICE

Our team of run organisers provide extensive services for participants of the Ischgl Ironrun: a signposted route, altitude profile, professional time-keeping (Global Sportservice), pasta at the finishing line (free of charge for participants), free of charge feed stations along the trail, free of charge shower facilities and free admission to the outdoor swimming pool after the race.

Sportograf, the sports photo service widely known in Europe, is responsible for the pictures of the second Ischgl Ironrun. Sportograf was founded by mountain bikers and is the first exclusively digital photo service: high definition action shots are available as download or on a CD instead of expensive photos. All who finish the Ischgl Ironrun 2011 get a high quality 'finisher's gift'.

Mountain road run:

  • Men (born in 1992 or older)
  • Men Masters (born in 1971 or older)
  • Women (born in 1992 or older)

Nordic walking group (Nordic walking & Nordic running)

  • Men (born in 1992 or older)
  • Men Masters (born in 1971 or older)
  • Women (born in 1992 or older)

Final date for classification is December 31st.

TRAILS

Mountain trail 1

(7.3 kilometres - 952 metres difference in altitude)
From Ischgl to the Idalp Alpine pasture. Beautiful, diverse landscape, tarmac road

Mountain trail 2

(18.5 kilometres - 1,510 metres ascent)
Ischgl - Idalp Alpine pasture and then to Greitspitz mountain - back to the Idalp Alpine pasture via the Hoellkar ridge, tarmac and gravel roads. High Alpine - Ischgl IRONRUN!

Time limit: 12:00am

Participants who have not finished mountain trail 1 by 12:00am are not allowed to continue the run on mountain trail 2.

Registrations without paid entry fee are considered as post-nominations, a surcharge of €5,00 is liable.

  • closing date is 6:00 pm Wednesday 12th July 2011, after that deadline all registrations are considered post-nominations
  • post-nominations are possible on site
  • ENTRY FEE POST-NOMINATIONS: €20,-

A refund in the case of cancellation is NOT possible. In the case of cancellation before 15th July 2011 and the submission of a doctor's certificate, the entry fee is credited for the next year's Ironrun. Should the event be cancelled due to unforeseen exceptional conditions, the entry fee cannot be refunded.

RULES & LIABILITY

All participants enter at their own risk and at their own cost. The organisers will not accept any liabilities during or after the race (nor in respect of third parties)

Instructions of the race management, track marshals, doctors and stewards must be followed. Any steps by third parties to aid the performance of participants is forbidden. Due to the health risks all kinds of escort vehicles (even mountain bikes) are prohibited. Breaking of the competition rules leads to disqualification. Disqualification by the race management without the right of appeal is also possible in the case of a breach of these rules or extreme unsportsmanlike behaviour.

The management of the Ischgl Ironbike reserves the right to deny athletes participation without stating a reason.
