medium circular trail 48 kilometres & 2,057 metres of altitude difference:
After the short circular trail begins the steep ascent to the Idalpe Alpine pasture, then to the Velillscharte wind gap. From there descend into the Velilltal Valley and back to Ischgl on the Supertrail designed by Hans Rey. Pure cycling fun even for only moderately experienced mountain bikers.
long circular trail 79 kilometres & 3,820 metres of altitude difference:
The route branches off from the medium circular trail at the Idalpe Alpine pasture. Steep ascents take you to the Idjoch ridge and the Greitspitze mountain. Enjoy single and panorama trails on the Greitspitz and Salaaser Trails taking you down to Laret and Samnaun Valley. Continue the race to Zeblasjoch ridge, Palinkop mountain and back to Ischgl via Hoellboden mountain. Steep, demanding, high Alpine - the Ischgl Ironbike.
How to choose your favourite Ischgl Ironbike trail:
Take the short circular trail to Galtuer and back to Ischgl. Shortly before the finishing line it is up to you to decide whether you want to venture out on the medium or long trail or if you prefer cycling straight to the finishing line of the Ischgl Ironbike.
The long and medium trails split below the Vellilscharte wind gap (above the Idalp Alpine pasture). Here participants will be spoiled for choice whether to take the medium trail through the Velliltal Valley or if they prefer to set out on the long trail to Samnaun Valley in Switzerland.
