The following four alpine cabin restaurants are along the culinary Way of St. James:
- Jamtalhütte: starting from the village square in Galtür you'll reach the Jamtalhütte after a three hour hike at 2,165 metres. Albert Einstein and even Ernest Hemingway have already stopped off at this alpine cabin restaurant.
- Heidelbergerhütte: Starting at the church in Ischgl the footpath Fimba leads past the Bodenalpe, Gampenalpe and Fimbaalpe. After about four hours hiking you'll reach the restaurant at 2,264 metres above sea level. If you want to save an hour you can take the Silvrettabahn to the middle station and pick up the path to the Heidelberger Hütte from there.
- Niederelbehütte: The Niederelbehütte in Kappl is set in prime location on a mountain ridge between two mountain lakes and a waterfall. Everybody who goes there only has one wish: to stay there. This alpine retreat is also set up for longer stays.
- Ascherhütte: Starting from the village centre in See the hiking route leads up to the Ascherhütte set 2,256 metres above sea level.
