Eating in Ischgl, cuisine in Tyrol
Ischgl cuisine – from Tyrolean cuisine to modern Mediterranean cuisine
Eating and drinking in Ischgl is particularly wonderful when you are on holiday, for the range on offer is guaranteed to send your taste buds into raptures.
The 1600-soul town of Ischgl in Tyrol’s Paznaun region has long made a name for itself internationally as a lifestyle metropolis in the Alps, providing fun on the pistes and quite a few outstanding events. Yet Ischgl has also risen to become a stronghold in terms of cuisine.
The great concentration of top-class restaurants is apparent – as well as Martin Sieberer‘s Paznauner Stube and Benjamin Parth’s YSCLA Stüva, there are five further establishments which have been acknowledged –Schlossherrenstube in Schlosshotel Romantica, Martin Sieberer's Heimatbühne, Fliana Gourmet, MAD in Hotel Madlein and the Lucy Wang Restaurant, ‘star’ worthy cuisine is served. Only recently Ischgl was described in the ‘A la Carte’ guide as a culinary Mecca in the Alps, and now Austria’s most influential restaurant guide, Gault Millau, is moving in.
