Ischgl: pure tobogganing madness
Actually it’s crazy – shooting downhill on some pieces of wood or a small plastic thing, at a breakneck speed. That’s probably the reason that tobogganing is so much fun. Tobogganing in Ischgl is not just for kids. Steer your missile dynamically round the sharp bends, brake suddenly and accelerate on a free run. You will soon discover that tobogganing can be strenuous and that your old toboggan and the new racy, well balanced racing model are worlds apart.
You need a suitable track in order to achieve such a fast run. The Silvretta Arena in Ischgl makes it possible. Push off at a height of 2,320 metres; the fast toboggan run is seven kilometres long, right down to the town. There is no better way of enjoying the height difference of 950 meters.
The toboggan run in Ischgl is one of the longest runs in the Alps and is lit up brilliantly at night. Each Monday and Thursday you can race downhill under the stars – weather permitting – a real fun highlight in Ischgl.
You don’t need to bring your toboggan with you; you can rent one comfortably from Silvretta Sports. A toboggan run is a must for a good holiday in Ischgl!

You can rent a toboggan from SILVRETTA SPORTS, in the base station of the Silvrettabahn, for € 8.00 for adults and € 4.00 for children.
- Uphill ride: Silvrettabahn 7.00 pm – 8.30 pm
- Family offer: Children up to the age of 17 travel free when accompanied by a parent.
Note: with the exception of season tickets, ski passes are not valid for travel on tobogganing evenings. - Toboggans can be hired at SILVRETTA SPORTS at the top station of the Silvrettabahn ropeway. (Note: rental fee must be paid together with the carrier ride.)

Return of toboggans: at the end of the toboggan run. - Note: the toboggan ticket entitles its holder to one uphill ride with the Silvrettabahn ropeway. The toboggan run is closed during the day!

Ski passes, except season tickets, are not valid for the uphill ride to the toboggan run. The restaurant Idalp entertains you with music before you set off downhill on the fast toboggan run.
