Slopes and Lifts
Ischgl: an Alpine skiing region that’s second to none
The facts alone make it clear why Ischgl offers ultimate enjoyment in one of the world’s best skiing areas. 215 kilometres of slopes, a transport capacity of 78,500 persons per hour and 31 snow cats mean that you will always be skiing or snowboarding in the very best conditions.
The ultramodern lifts in the Silvretta Arena whisk you up to the starting points for the best downhill runs quickly, comfortably and without queuing. The cable car built for the 2007/08 season will even pamper you with heated seats.
You’ll be thrilled by the challenging pistes. Speed, long turns and wide, steep slopes give you the freedom to really get to grips with your carving technique. A separate carving slope, which you can reach via the Idjoch chairlift, offers some uncompromising carving action.
Every night, the € 220,000 snow cats groom the pistes of the Silvretta Arena so you can enjoy first-class conditions in the morning. Since the runs are all located on north-facing slopes, Ischgl is an exceptionally snow-sure resort – the season lasts from November to April. You can count on the best conditions throughout the winter months: Cruise through loose powder, carve down hard-packed slopes and race through corn snow in spring.
Here are some more figures to give you an idea of what to expect from the ski resort of Ischgl: Three cable cars, two aerial cableways, 23 chairlifts and twelve draglifts convey you up to the starting points. The total area of runnable slopes is 506 hectares – as much variety as you want and new downhill options just waiting to be discovered. No costs or effort are spared to ensure that the Silvretta Ski Arena keeps its reputation as one of the most modern ski resorts in the world. €120 million have been invested over the last five years. So why not benefit from this by booking a winter holiday in Ischgl?
