Top of the Mountain Easter Concert with Sportfreunde Stiller unplugged

On 4 April 2010, Sportfreunde Stiller will be bringing their popular indie rock to Ischgl at the Top of the Mountain Easter Concert - right in the middle of the skiing area on the Idalp Open-Air Stage, situated at an altitude of 2,300 metres. Those on the slopes will also be in need of some sportiness and stamina, with the area offering perfect conditions for unlimited skiing right through until 2 May 2010 - including after Easter.

Over Easter, Ischgl will be continuing its sporty theme off the slopes as well: At the legendary Top of the Mountain Easter Concert on Easter Sunday, 4 April 2010, the German chart-toppers Sportfreunde Stiller will be offering up an unforgettable concert experience in front of a breathtaking backdrop of mountains. The band can be seen on the Idalp Open-Air Stage from 1 pm, performing hits such as ‘54, '74, '90, 2006, Ein Kompliment and Eine Liebe, die nie endet in front of an expected 20,000 fans. As always, admission to the concert is free with a valid lift pass.

Sportfreunde Stiller took to the stage for the first time in 1996. Their name was inspired by Hans Stiller, the coach of SV Germering, a football team in Germany's local league for which the band members played for many years. The band is famous for trying out new material at concerts and "testing" its popularity directly with the audience. Since the Football World Cup will be kicking off in June 2010 and Sportfreunde Stiller are self-proclaimed football fans, who already have the German fans' unofficial anthem for the 2006 World Cup under their belt, fans of the band can expect to hear something new at the concert in Ischgl. Sportfreunde Stiller are sure to offer catchy tunes and a sensational atmosphere for the expected 20,000 fans. Not for nothing has the rock and pop industry considered the legendary stage on Idalp "the place to be" for more than ten years. Stars such as Rod Stewart, Sting, Tina Turner and Elton John were impressed by the concerts on the stage with the incomparable mountain backdrop. And it goes without saying that all music-mad ski and snowboard freaks love it too. Ischgl skilfully combines first-class concerts with a perfect skiing area in a way that no other ski resort in the Alps can match: The 235 kilometres of slopes, reaching into Samnaun in Switzerland, will offer perfect conditions for unlimited skiing until 2 May 2010.
