The two well-maintained via ferrata in the close vicinity of Ischgl are of a low difficulty level. They are therefore perfectly suited for families with children - although a mountain guide is still strongly recommended. The via ferrata at Flimspitze mountain takes between 20 to 25 minutes and leads almost to the summit of Flimspitze mountain after a short hike from the mountain station of the Flimjochbahn cable car. The difficulty level ranges from easy to intermediate, the descent occurs on the hiking trail to the Idalp Alpine pasture. The Greitspitze mountain via ferrata is slightly more demanding and longer (30-45 minutes).
