Can there be anything better than arriving at a mountain chalet in the Tyrolean Alps after a wonderful hiking tour and indulging in a refreshing drink and a hearty snack?
Friedrichshafener Hütte chalet - intermediate tour – 2 hours
Start your hiking expedition to the mountain chalet at the Mehrzweckhaus in Ischgl and head towards Piel and the parking lot of the Friedrichshafener Hütte chalet. Either follow the road or the footpath to the chalet. Why not venture further from there to Grieskogel mountain? The views of the Alpine summits towering over 3,000 metres above sea level are well worth the effort.
Wiesbadner Hütte chalet (via Radsattel ridge) – intermediate tour – 4 hours
Follow the valley hiking trail from Galtür to the Silvretta High Alpine Road and continue towards Bielerhöhe mountain pass. A trail on your left leads to the Bieltal valley along the dam. Hairpin bends take you through the valley to Radsattel ridge and then down to the Wiesbadner Hütte chalet, one of the many rustic Alpine huts in Tyrol. The views of awe-inspiring summits such as Piz Buin mountain or Silvrettahorn mountian will make this hiking tour unforgettable.
Niederelbe Hütte chalet – intermediate tour – 6 to 7 hours
Follow the road from Kappl to the hamlet of Ulrich. Turn right into the alley before House Alpenheim. Here a footpath begins that leads to a little chapel. The trail leads you through the Fatlartal valley past the picturesque Lake Riepasee to the Kieler high altitude trail. After a short while you will reach Gseßgrad ridge, from where you can see the Niederelbe Hütte chalet.
Waterfall – Versingalpe – Medrigalm Alpine pasture - easy tour - 3 hours
This tour to one of the beautiful Alpine huts in Tyrol begins at the parish church in See. From here a road takes you to the hamlet of Schaller where you turn right into a logging road. After a short while you will reach the waterfall. You will hear the roaring water from a distance. After a short while you will reach a fork in the road, keep left. After some time you get to the Schallerbach mountain river. Follow the river until you get to the Versingalpe Alpine pasture.
